Over half a year later, I finally managed to complete this piece. For Freya is indeed for a Freya – one with whom I weathered the dampness of the Cairngorms and Wales, adventured to Iceland, ate banana pizza with Om Shanti Om, and braved that “beast from the east” blizzard of 2017.
To Freya: I hope this piece brings you back to our beloved Edinburgh and those glory days. I’m grateful for you and Freddie as fellow crumbs of the greater Graham’s Crackers. We didn’t share nearly enough Eurovisions together, though I’m sure it’ll be the reason we reunite. Take care of your murder van, touch more permafrost, and see you again soon!
