Cove: community of volunteer educators

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit New York City in April 2020, I received an invite to volunteer with an initiative wishing to provide tutoring support to families of essential workers. I was working as a freelance photographer until then, and had just seen arts venues closed and all my gigs cancelled. As I’m sure everyone can relate, 2020 was becoming a strange and daunting time to be alive.
